'I was traveling around the American Southwest after a Tucson gem and mineral show over 15 years ago. I saw beautiful Indian concho belts everywhere - on the plazas where the Indian women sat and sold their wares, in the art galleries where the tourists gathered and on stylish women with their Hopi - Navajo pleated velvet and cotton skirts. I got the inspiration to make concho belts, but with small treasure conchos that could be collected one by one. That way every belt would be different and women would be able to put together their own combinations. I literally sold hundreds and hundreds of those belts. Many women have written to ask if I am still making treasure conchos as they want to complete their belts. So here they are - at your request.' Tabra
